New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore star Chris Gayle entered the Indian Premier League match against Kolkata Knight Riders hoping to make a big bang on his 100th appearance in the competition, but things started off on the worst note possible, after the big West Indian was dismissed on the very first delivery of the match – a Royal Duck – to a terrific Umesh Yadav delivery.
Umesh bowled a good length delivery to start off proceeding at M Chinnaswamy stadium and Gayle gave away an easy catch to Gautam Gambhir who was standing at short extra-cover. (RCB vs KKR - Live Blog | Full Coverage)

The left-handed batsman has been in dismal form in IPL 2017, scoring a total of 152 runs in 8 matches with a best score of 77 to his name and an average of 19.
KKR skipper Gambhir had won the toss and elected to field against RCB, who had brought in Travis Head in place of Shane Watson in the playing XI.
KKR, who have lost their last two matches but remain in contention for the playoffs, were boosted by the return of Australian big hitter Chris Lynn who came in place of Nathan Coulter-Nile. Also, Piyush Chawla and Ankit Rajpoot replaced Kuldeep Yadav and Suryakumar Yadav, respectively.
RCB - 100/3. After 14.1 over bowled by the Knight Riders, rain had put a halt to the game, with the Royal Challengers' Mandeep Singh and Travis Head batting on 48 and 35, respectively.
