England lead by 273 runs and Bangladesh need 2 wickets to wrap up the proceedings for visitors. Ben Stokes was the stand out batsman for visitors, who scored 85 runs with 6 boundaries and 3 sixes to his name. On the other hand, Shakib-Al-Hasan was the best bowler for the hosts, as he took 5 wickets for 79 runs.

Ben Stokes hammered six to reach his fifty. This has been a fantastic innings and he has bailed his team out of the trouble to an extent, along with Bairstow, who hasn't lost his focus with Strokes hitting big strokes every now and then. The partnership is now worth 76 runs.

TEA: Good comeback by Stokes and Bairstow. England are 153 runs ahead with five wickets in hand. With two days remaining in this match, the hosts would be unsure of what total should they keep in mind. The partnership between these two is now worth 46 runs.

Ballance was the next batsman to be dismissed as he worked one straight into leg slip off Taijul Islam's bowling. Throughout his stay, Ballance was looking vulnerable at the crease. Ben Stokes is the new man in and the onus lies now on the two left-hander to stitch a healthy partnership and get their team out of trouble.

LUNCH: Bangladesh picked another wicket when he edged one towards short leg. This has been a great comeback by the Bangladeshi bowlers. They have managed to shift the momentum in their favour. More importantly, Cook and Root are back in the pavilion. England now lead by 73 runs with seven wickets remaining. This is turning out to be a very interesting Test match.

Bangladeshi bowlers brought the team back in the game to an extent by picking two big wickets of Alastair Cook and Joe Root. Root was dismissed by debutant Mehedi Hasan, as he gave a low catch in the slip cordon. Shakib trapped Root in front of the wicket soon, and despite a review, there was no reprieve for the batsman.

Ben Stokes picked the remaining two wickets in one over to give his side a 45-run lead over the hosts. While Cook was caught in the slip cordon, Kamrul Islam was bowled by the English all-rounder. Bangladesh would be disappointed with that batting effort.
