New Delhi: Arguably India's best captain ever, MS Dhoni hasn't had many set-backs in his career while leading the talented bunch of cricketers.

Despite several records and accomplishments to his name, Dhoni recalled one particular incident which made him feel like a terrorirst or murderer.

The Ranchi-born cricketer said the World Cup loss of 2007 and the ensuing reactions against him and the team had a big impact on him and to some extent that experience "was a big turning point in my life".

Mahi said in India when a team loses a cricket match, they are perceived as people who "have committed a crime or are murderers or terrorists."

He recalled the harrowing time when the team had returned home after making an exit in the first round of the 2007 World Cup . People even pelted stones at his residence.

Quickly moving forward from the debacle in West Indies, Dhoni went on to write several captaincy records to his name, like most wins by an Indian captain in Tests and ODIs, and most back-to-back wins by an Indian captain in ODIs.

He also became the first captain to win all three ICC limited-overs trophies (World Cup, Champions Trophy and the World Twenty20) when India wrapped up the Champions Trophy against hosts England.

In 2013 Mahi-led India became the first team in more than 40 years to whitewash Australia in a Test series.
