New Delhi: Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin received massive praise from the cricket fraternity after a brilliant show against New Zealand in the first Test played at Green Park in Kanpur.

Leading the pack, Ashwin dismantled the Kiwi batting line-up with a ten-wicket haul in Kanpur. He picked four wickets in the first innings and six wickets in the second innings.

While getting praise is nothing new for the veteran offie, he was surprised by one special wish. (WOAH! Virender Sehwag comes up with a new name for record-breaking Ravichandran Ashwin)

The praise came from Pakistani legend Waqar Younis who reckons Ashwin will go on to break many more records.

Waqar took to Twitter to laud Ashwin after he became the second fastest bowler to reach 200 Test wickets.

Ashwin soon acknowledged the tweet and thanked the former pacer.

Ashwin picked six wickets in the second innings in the first Test which was also his 19th 5-wicket haul in the traditional format. (WATCH and DECIDE: Ravichandran Ashwin vs Shane Warne - Who bowled the better ball?)
