REVEALED: Why you missed Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Bollywood debut with John Abraham in 2010

New Delhi: Indian cricketers acting in Bollywood films isn't really a novelty. But the fact MS Dhoni too played a cameo wasn't known to all until a few weeks back.

Recently, it was revealed by MS Dhoni and Sushant Singh Rajput that the former Test India skipper was part of a mainstream Bollywood film in 2010.

Interestingly, the film Hook Ya Crook starred Dhoni's good friend John Abraham and was directed by David Dhawan.

So how did a country obsessed with cricket and films completely miss out on its most popular captain's acting debut?

The answer to that question is quite simple. The film never released due to creative differences between the director and production house.

Though 90% of the film was ready, UTV decided to shelve the project. From the initial images however, it was clear that Hook Ya Crook was a movie based on cricket.
