Virat Kohli is the best batsman in world at the moment, says Brett Lee

New Delhi: Former Australian speedster Brett Lee has rated Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli as the best cricketer in the world at the moment.

Speaking to The Hindu, Kohli, who is currently working as a mentor for Ruby Kanchi Warriors in the Tamil Nadu Premier League, hailed Kohli's timing and said that the stats backed the fact that he was the best.

“Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the world at the moment.

“He has the hunger, has a flawless technique and has fantastic stats to back him up. And he times the ball so beautifully, doesn’t need to hit it hard.”

Since the beginning of this year, Kohli has been in sublime form where he has shattered records in each series he has played in.

The Delhi batsman recently led India to a series win against West Indies in the Caribbean.
