New Delhi: During the third Test between India and England in Kolkata, the hosts had put a total of 316 on board batting first.
As as a reply, England started off brilliantly with Alastair Cook and Nick Compton getting the visitors off to a flying start.
Batting on 190, skipper Cook was on his way to reach double hundred when he got out in the most unusual manner.
Virat Kohli threw ball towards the bowler's end and when the English captain had almost reached the crease. About to put his bat inside the crease, Cook saw that he might get hit by the ball, hence he tried evade the throw but didn't know that it will go on to hit the stumps.
Cook couldn't reach the crease and was given run-out after the on-field umpire went upstairs.
