New Delhi: With AAP facing a crushing defeat in the MCD polls, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday warned his party's newly-elected municipal councillors against "betraying the party" by falling into the BJP's trap.

The AAP convenor on Thursday called MLAs' meet as his party plunged into turmoil after Delhi civic polls loss.

The Aam Aadmi Party won in 48 of the 270 wards of the three Delhi Municipal Corporations, polls for which were held on Sunday. The BJP swept the elections with 181.

Addressing the councillors at his residence, Kejriwal administered the AAP councillors a "pledge of honesty" and said, "No anti-defection law governs the corporations. So the BJP will try to lure you away. Always keep your phones on recording mode so that you can expose such attempts later. They may even offer you Rs 10 crore as they have a lot of money."
