New Delhi: A woman flier was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here for allegedly carrying a live bullet in her baggage, officials said on Sunday.
The incident happened yesterday when the accused, Pragya, travelling to Udaipur with her mother, was intercepted by CISF personnel who detected a bullet in her luggage.
"A round of .32 calibre was recovered from the woman's bag. The lady was handed over to police as she could not produce valid documents for carrying the ammunition," they said.
She has been arrested under Arms Act after she was offloaded from the flight, the officials said.
Carrying of arms and ammunition in aircraft is banned under aviation and other laws.
