New Delhi: Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has issued a notification for the recruitment of male constable (driver). There are 134 vacancies. 

Those who want to apply can do so on the official website - itbpolice.nic.in - from February 14, 2018, to March 15, 2018.

Educational qualifications of the candidates, among other things, should be class tenth pass and the age limit should be minimum 21 year and maximum 27 years.

The candidates will be selected based on the physical test, medical test, written test and merit list.

SC/ST/OBC/PWD/PH candidates are entitled to age relaxation as per government rules.

For general/OBC candidates, the fees is Rs 100 and for ST/SC candidates there are no fees. 

ITBPF was raised on 24 October 1962. As per the official website, "Presently, ITBP is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 km of Indo-China Border and manning border outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000’ to 18700’ in the Western, Middle and Eastern sectors of the Indo-China border."

"ITBPF is a specialised mountain force and most of the officers and men are professionally trained mountaineers and skiers. Being the first responder for natural disaster, ITBPF has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations across the country," it further says.
