Rudd, 60, attempted to arrange the murder of two men and was arrested on Thursday, the Variety reported quoting the New Zealand news site SunLive.
Rudd's Taraunga home was raided before he appeared in the court later. He is set to appear in the court again in three weeks.
The drummer is accused of arranging the murder between September 25 and 26, according to court documents obtained by SunLive. The drugs were found in his home when police arrested him.
