Los Angeles: "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star Alfonso Ribeiro has been named as the new host of "America's Funniest Home Videos".

Ribeiro will be next to introduce the series of wedding disasters, hilarious falls and usual family funnies we've come to expect from the show since 1989, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ribeiro succeeds Tom Bergeron, who also presents "Dancing with the Stars" - someone Ribeiro is familiar with after winning season 19 of the competition last year.

The 43-year-old actor and his wife Angela recently welcomed his third child Anders Reyn into the world.

Their son weighed 7.7 pounds and measured 19 inches long at the time of birth.

Baby Anders Reyn has a brother, Alfonso Jr - whom Ribeiro fathered with Angela - and a sister Sienna, from his first marriage.
