Amy Poehler chosen as Hasty Pudding's Woman of the Year
Comedienne Amy Poehler has been named as the 2015 Woman of the Year by Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
Los Angeles: Comedienne Amy Poehler has been named as the 2015 Woman of the Year by Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
"We are extremely excited to announce Amy Poehler as our 2015 Woman of the Year. She is an accomplished performer, incredible comedian, and an inspiration to everyone in the Hasty Pudding. We look forward to welcoming Ms Poehler and celebrating and honoring her achievements in a truly unique and memorable way," said Hasty Pudding Theatricals president Jason Hellerstein.
According to Hasty Pudding's website, Amy will lead a parade through the streets of Cambridge on January 29 as a part of the Woman of the Year festivities. After the parade, the 'Parks and Recreation' star will be honored with a celebratory roast. She will accept her Pudding Pot at the Farkas Hall, the Hasty Pudding's home on Harvard Square.
Previous honorees include Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Joan Rivers, Julia Roberts, Jodie Foster, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, Drew Barrymore and Sandra Bullock.
There is a male Hasty Pudding honoree as well which will be announced later.
