Los Angeles: Andrew Garfield thrilled film fans at the Comic-Con event by arriving at a panel discussion dressed as his superhero alter-ego, Spider-Man.
Producers behind "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel pulled out all the stops to promote the new film at the convention in San Diego, California, and they even persuaded the movie`s star to don his iconic costume, reported Ace Showbiz. Spider-Man took a seat on the panel while the crowd was shown a video message from Garfield`s co-star and real-life girlfriend Emma Stone, who was unable to attend due to filming commitments. After swapping his red and blue attire for normal clothes, Garfield was joined on the stage by Jamie Foxx, who walked out to Kanye West`s track `Power`. Foxx then spoke about his villainous character Electro, saying, "He mother forgets his birthday. He is in a hole, so that when he turns into Electro he has so much venom and anger. I wanted to make him a serious individual who wants to burn Spider-Man down and burn the city with it (sic)." The eager crowd was then shown a preview clip of the movie, which is slated to hit cinemas in May 2014. PTI
