New Delhi: All of us want to bring in change in the society but unfortunately we don’t have the platform to table our ideas for change. Following with their continued efforts to bring revolutionary changes in the society iCONGO, under the aegis of Apeejay Karmayuga, launches “Ideas Bucket Campaign”, in association with Manju Latha Kalanidhi.

Under the Idea Bucket Campaign activists and enthusiasts just need to submit their ideas which they have already enacted or they are about to enact, which can be very simple in nature but have the potential to penetrate the society for big social changes. All the entries can be submitted in form of a video or as a picture, uploaded on the facebook page of Ideas Bucket Campaign. Two best Ideas will win the ‘Rice Bucket Challenge Karmaveer Chakra for Ideas Bucket Campaign’. All participants who submit their ideas will be given Certificate of Participation

Commenting on this initiative Meenu Chopra, Co-founder of iCONGO said “For over a decade now, iCONGO has believed in the power of simple ideas and small actions that can make the big difference.  The Rice Bucket Challenge like the JOY OF GIVING, RIGHT every WRONG and other movements has awakened the country to do something to make a difference. Thus iCONGO has collaborated with the Rice Bucket Challenge to create the “Ideas Bucket Campaign” where all you need to do is send us a video or a picture with an idea that can make a difference. You may have already begun implementing it or plan to begin…..does not matter as long as you have a worthy simple idea, which you feel can make a difference. We shall also be supporting Manju to grow the Rice Bucket Challenge by promoting this with our 15 million plus supporter base.”

Ms.  Manju Latha Kalanidhi, who is very excited about the RBC Karmaveer Chakra said, “ I am very happy to see that my simple Idea has gotten me the chance to Inspire many citizens to think of simple ideas for the betterment of society through Ideas Bucket Campaign. The most exciting part is that iCONGO has given me a chance to award people with innovative ideas, through Apeejay Karmayuga, by creatingRice Bucket Challenge Karmaveer Chakra for Ideas Bucket Campaign.”

Recently Apeejay Trust, the welfare trust of Apeejay Surrendra Group which has had a great grasp on delivering of Individual Social Responsibility (ISR) as a part of their workforce since 2007-08, has joined hands with iCongo to add impetus to  Karmayuga movement, created by iCongo (International Confederation of NGOs) to recognize, promote and consequently inspire Indians to perform their Individual Social Responsibility (ISR).

Apeejay Karmayuga is a movement that hopes to bring to the fore seemingly ordinary, regular citizens who are making a difference through their simple acts and demonstrate exceptional determination in discharging their Fundamental Duties listed in the Indian Constitution. Apeejay Karmayuga will scout for such Indians across the country and honour them with Karmaveer Chakra, a medallion for voluntary services, instituted by iCongo in 2008 at the behest of the UN. The courage of conviction displayed by the past Chakra recipients, who have created greatness with their stupendous examples, gave profound meaning to the Karmaveer Chakra and vindicated the belief that even the simplest act of volunteering can create a mammoth ripple effect of positive change.
