Ashley Greene eyeing Big Apple

Ashley Green is swapping Los Angeles for New York to escape the spotlight that has come with the successful franchise. The star, who plays feisty vampire Alice Cullen in the `Twilight` movies, has gained legions of devoted fans and has become a fixture in gossip columns since she shot to fame in the hit 2008 movie, Daily Express reported.

But the actress now craves peace and has decided to move to Manhattan in her bid to escape paparazzi. "The other day I had eight paparazzi following me. And for what? To watch me eat ice cream? It`s just silly. That`s why I`m looking for an apartment in New York. There`s so much going on here (in New York) and I don`t think everything would drop just because I walked into a room. It`s nice. "There are times where I have to sit back and breathe but at the end of the day I would rather have this life than not," she said. PTI
