London: Veteran comedian Bill Cosby will not comment on the rape allegations that have resurfaced in recent weeks, his lawyer has said.
Several women have accused the 77-year-old actor of sexual assault going back almost 30 years. The claims resurfaced last month after comedian Hannibal Buress referred to them during a performance.
Cosby has always denied the accusations, and has never faced any charges, reported BBC.
"Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true," his lawyer said.
"Mr Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment. He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work," the lawyer added.
