Danny Boyle opens casting call for 2012 Olympic shows

London: `Slumdog Millionaire` filmmaker Danny Boyle is reportedly on the hunt for 10,000 talented people for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Boyle, 54, is heading up the committee to stage the shows with fellow artistic director Kim Gavin and searching for dancers, actors, percussionists and general all-round performers to fill roles of the two ceremonies, Daily Express reported.

Applications need to be received by August 31 and Olympics chiefs have advised that participants must be available for auditions later this year.
