Delhi court frames rape charges against 'Peepli Live' co-director Mahmood Farooqui

New Delhi: A Delhi court has framed rape charges against 'Peepli Live'  co-director Mahmood Farooqui for allegedly raping an American researcher at his residence.

According to a report in IBNlive.com, the Saket court has booked him under section 375 (B) of IPC, claiming that the evidences against him were enough.

It has also been learnt that the trials will be conducted on a day-to-day basis.

The research scholar in her complaint which was filed at New Friends colony police station in July had alleged that Farooqui had raped her when she had gone to meet him to get help for her research work.

She had claimed to have met Farooqui at Varanasi where she had gone to collect information about her research theme based on Baba Gorakhnath.
