Zee News a 24x7 Hindi news channel launches the second season of its Food and Travel show – Desh Da Swaad. This time, Desh Da Swad, along with travelling through several parts of the country, and exploring famous restaurants and interviewing legendary chefs, will also come to your home to learn the history behind traditional family recipes.
Presented by Tata Salt and Tata Sampann, DDS 2 follows Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi as he travels extensively across the country in a one-of-a-kind 'mobile kitchen' caravan, where he will meet with the people, understand their palate, and cook for them by adding his own, personal touch. The finale of each episode has Chef participate in cook-offs with culinary experts in every city he visits.
Chef Harpal explores the streets and bazaars and takes Indian street food to our television sets. Watch Chef Harpal as he travels the length and breadth of our food-crazy nation and bring to us some of the best dishes made in the country, as well as their recipes.
Episodes also introduce people who have chosen cooking as a profession, families and institutions, that are famous for certain types of food, and where cooking is an integral part of their tradition and culture. During the 13-episode series, you will see him interact with chefs, street cart vendors and try and coax their secret recipe out of them. In addition, you will also see him standing in the kitchen of locals, learning traditional family recipes.
