Los Angeles: A fictional drama, inspired by the life of feminist attorney, Gloria Allred, is being developed at CBS.
Allred, 74, is currently representing at least 20 women who have accused comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault, sexual harassment and/or other sexual misconduct. The network has handed out a script commitment to the untitled drama, said The Hollywood Reporter.
From writer Deborah Schoeneman ('Girls', 'The Newsroom'), the untitled show is a drama about a fearless, outspoken lawyer who takes on the toughest civil rights cases and is masterful at using the media in order to get justice.
Schoeneman will pen the script and executive produce the CBS Television Studios drama alongside Allred, as well as Peter Principato and Paul Young.
In 2011, Allred debuted a syndicated courtroom show "We the People With Gloria Allred" that ran for 260 episodes.
