Emma Stone 'ended things' with beau Andrew Garfield as he was in 'dark place'

Washington: It has been revealed that the romance of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, who were dating for more than three years, is over for good.

A source said that the 26-year-old actress ended things and moved back to L.A., adding that it's finished and is not just a break, Us Magazine reported.

Another insider added that Garfield had been in a dark place for months, getting into his role as a 17th-century Jesuit in director Martin Scorseses upcoming movie 'Silence.'

The source added that the 'Never Let Me Go' actor, 31, who lost nearly 40 pounds in preparation for the film and has been shooting in Taiwan since January, wasn't being the best partner.
