Washington: ' Harry Potter' star Tom Felton has defended his super fans saying that it is totally cool to be like a "fictitious wizard".
While promoting his new BBC documentary, ' Tom Felton Meets the Superfans', the 27-year-old actor said that people were dressed up as Stormtroopers, Gandalf and Dumbledore and his mates thought it was fascinating but also really weird, E! Online reported.
Felton asserted that for things like sport or music, it was considered cool to be a superfan but as soon as it went into 'Star Trek' or 'My Little Pony' or something a little bit obscure, it became a bit weird and people were keen to look down on it.
Felton added that when one see their fans at premieres usually it was the same faces but one would only see them for 10 seconds at a time but they start to build up a relationship of support and recognition with the stars which was hugely rewarding.
