Washington: Eddie Redmayne has revealed how the Golden Globe award for Best Actor made his post-Globes trip through airport security a whole lot more exciting.

The 33-year-old British actor said that he had the most wonderful experience after the Golden Globes of taking the award in his hand luggage through the X-ray machine, Contactmusic reported.

Redmayne, who was awarded the Golden Globe on January 11th for his performance as Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything,' added that he saw the bag go through and saw the woman (TSA agent) stop the thing and then go close up on this weird shaped thing and was like "I think it's an award or something."

Redmayne, who couldn't have been happier with the hold up, added that he was praying that they would make him open it up and they did, after which the guy asked, "Is this real?" and he said "Yeah!"
