Washington: Conrad Murray, the doctor who was convicted in the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson, has claimed that he was only trying to “tip” the King Of Pop into sleep when he gave him a “tiny bit” of propofol the morning he died.
Murray revealed about June 25, 2009 incident in the documentary “Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Relationship,” which aired on MSNBC, Radaronline.com reported. In the documentary, the doctor said he eventually gave in to Jackson begging for “some milk” i.e. Propofol. He stated he thought “If I give him just a tiny amount of Propofol - 25 milligrams slowly infused - I may just tip him into sleep, and the other medications will now get a chance to work because he had a fair amount of medication on board.” According to Murray’s recorded interview with police two days after Jackson’s death - he had already pumped the star with sedatives, Valium, Lorazepam, Midazolam before giving Propofol - but the singer was still unable to fall asleep. The jailed doctor also claimed in the film that it was the other drugs - not the Propofol - that “overwhelmed” Jackson. ANI
