Iconic 1965 Green Hornet Chrysler Imperial car up for auction at $34,529

Washington: 1965 Chrysler Imperial car used in 2011 movie version of `The Green Hornet` is up for auction at 34,529 dollars, it has been revealed.

According to reports, the Black Beauty modified by Dennis McCarthy is equipped with its original 413-cubic-inch V8 engine and has 71.421 miles on the odometer.

According to Bobby Livingston of RR Auctions, the car was one of 29 custom-built for the production, most of them stripped-down stunt models that were destroyed during filming.

McCarthy modified the stock Imperial with lime-green headlights, two hood-mounted Browning. Thirty caliber machine guns that simulated gunfire by firing bursts of propane were used along with four arrays of Stinger missiles beneath the front and back bumpers, a revolving license plate that rotated to Hornet.
