Los Angeles: "Criminal Minds" star Nicholas Brendon, who has been in and out of jail thrice in the past six months, claims sexual abuse he experienced as a child triggered depression, which led to his recent arrests.
Brendon, 43, was most recently arrested in Florida on March 13 for allegedly creating disturbance in a hotel.
He was charged with damage to property and criminal mischief. He was released after posting USD 1,000 bail on Saturday, reported Aceshowbiz.
"I've been battling a lot of depression through all my life and I've been handling it the wrong way. I'm a survivor of sexual abuse when I was a kid. It's just something you're embarrassed of and I've never really talked about it.
"When the depression comes, you just kind of try to block it out any way you possibly can and there's a better way of doing it and first of all for me I just really need to start talking about it," the actor said.
