India Bike Week to be held in Goa

India's leading festival of mean machines and music -- India Bike Week-- will be held in Goa from February 20.

Panaji: India's leading festival of mean machines and music -- India Bike Week-- will be held in Goa from February 20.

The two-day event is organised by SEVENTY Event Media Group, together with the #1 Travel and Lifestyle channel, FOX Life, at Vagator beach.

"Over 10,000 riders and bike enthusiasts are expected to ride cross-country to Goa to celebrate the spirit and lifestyle of the Indian Biking community," the organisers said in a press release here.

The festival will have stories from over 15 legendary Indian and international motorcycle travelers.

The week will have participants like Grant and Susan Johnson (Horizons Unlimited, the most popular network of motorcyclists, Canada), Rashmi Thambe (Editor, Global Women Who Ride), Avinash Thadani, Hubert Kriegel (on a Ural sidecar bike), Sheonagh Ravensdale (Women's International Motorcycle Association), Deepak Thimmoji, Sushant Shetty (London to India solo on a Hayabusa), Kedarnath, Major Gen VK Iyer, Sangeetha Jairam, Gokulram, Frank Voellm, Om Vaikul (winner of the Wrangler True Wanderer 3.0), and many more.

The event will also celebrate Harley-Davidson five years in India Celebration with a rally which is expected to witness the largest number of Harley-Davidson riders in India, coming together to celebrate it.

The IBW will have five music stages and an impressive line-up. The third edition of India Bike Week has an impressive line-up of 18 music artists. BabyHead, DJ Akhtar, Nucleya ,Curtain Blue, DJ Uri, Frame, Ashok aka OX7GEN, Indian vocalist, composer and playback singer Siddharth Basrur, Sound Avtar aka DJ SA, Sky Rabbit, Nicholson aka Fuzzy Logic, Tejas, Thaalavattam, Whirling Kalapas, Your Chin, Blackstratblues, Clayton Hogermeer etc will be present at the festival.

The organisers also said that the finals of All-India National Stunt championship will also held here where shortlisted teams from the India Bike Week on tour events conducted across 8 cities will battle each other and a final winner will be announced.
