Los Angeles: Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez turned to her ex-husband Marc Anthony before deciding to end her relationship with Casper Smart earlier this month.
The 44-year-old singer is said to have turned to Anthony, with whom she has six-year-old twins Max and Emme, before she decided to call time on her two-and-a-half-year-old relationship with the 27-year-old dancer, reports contactmusic.com.
"One person she got advice from is her ex Marc...He`s been supportive and great through this all,” a source told E! News.
However, despite their split, the “On The Floor” hitmaker is determined to stay friends with Smart as her kids have developed a bond with him.
"She will definitely still keep things civil and actually still loves him. The hard part is the kids love him too. He has become a part of her family,” said the source.
"It`s not going to be one of those breakups where you never see them together again," the source added.
The former couple was first linked together in November 2011, just a few months after the singer split from Anthony.
