Jodhpur One World Retreat begins here

The second edition of the Jodhpur One World Retreat, a fund raising biennial fund raising event for the Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF), opened with a mega fashion and grand music and light show. The event was founded by the erstwhile ruler of Gaj Singh II.

Models rocked the ramp set up at the majestic Mehrangarh Fort amid the thematic music and beats by the famous Langa folk musicians presenting the creations of the fashion designers J J Valaya and Raghvendra Rathore. Singh welcomed all the guests for their support to the initiative at the three-day event.

"I am happy that you assembled to support a noble cause on my invitation. I am sure with all yours support, we will be able to make a difference in treatment of head injury and trauma care", said Singh.

Celebrities like Sarah Ferguson (former wife of prince Andrew), Suhel Seth, KP Singh (Chairman of the DLF Group) and NK Singh (former bureaucrat) attended the first day of the event.

The event will also see a mega-auction of selected artworks, fascinating heirlooms, sculptures and a dazzling collection of jewellery among other heritage treasures, to raise funds for the IHIF.?The auction will be hosted by the famous auction house Christie's.

The auction will be preceded by keynote address by Dr Jamshid Ghajar, President of the Brain Trauma Foundation (USA) and a panel discussion and an interactive session on the subject followed by an spiritual awakening session by Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev from Isha Foundation, Coimbatore. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen performing with the famous Shillong Chamber Choir and Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
