Los Angeles: Actor John Stamos has checked himself into a rehab facility. The 51-year-old "Full House" actor has entered into a residential programme that treats substance abuse, People magazine reported.
Stamos was stopped by the authorities last month and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The actor was released into the care of a hospital, where he was treated for an unknown medical condition, but later tweeted to inform his fans that he was "home & well" following the incident.
Stamos is known for his role as Uncle Jesse on "Full House", which was recently confirmed for a Netflix revival due to premiere in 2016.
While, many of the original stars of the series will be returning for the project, Lori Loughlin recently revealed that herself, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier will only be appearing in the first episode as of now.
