London: Rapper Kanye West surprised students at a Los Angeles college.
The 37-year-old singer spent over two hours speaking to 40 pupils from the digital communications department at LA Trade Technical College before spending time with troubled youth, who were taking part in a summer bridge programme, reportedly.
Talking about his own experiences and personal struggles through music, fashion and graphic arts, he stressed how important it is to get an education.
Andre Pitts III - one of the students - explained how the rapper "didn't try" to teach or preach, but simply shared his own life experiences.
This visit marked Kanye's fourth time speaking to students in LA, and it forms part of the 240-hour community service sentence he was handed after striking a plea deal over allegedly assaulting a photographer last year.
