The editor of the Irish Daily Star, the tabloid which had published photographs of a topless Kate Middleton, has resigned from his post.

Delhi: The editor of the Irish Daily Star, the tabloid which had published photographs of a topless Kate Middleton, has resigned from his post. The Duchess’ sunbathing photographs, taken on a private vacation in France, had caused quite a stir a while back.
The Irish Daily Star, in a statement, said: “As a result of the publication on 15 September 2012, issues arose with the shareholders of Independent Star Limited.
“Having considered those issues in tandem with Mr Michael O`Kane, it is Mr O`Kane`s decision to resign as editor of the Irish Daily Star, effective immediately.”
