Largest single family home up for grabs
Washington: The largest single family home under one roof in America has been put up for sale.
David Siegel has been building the mansion in Lake Butler Sound for 10 years, after getting inspired by the Palace of Versailles.
“When my husband and I were on our honeymoon, we visited Versailles, and my husband was looking at it and said, I want to build something like this for you,” Fox News quoted, Siegel’s wife Jacqueline, as saying.
Also, high-end home realtor, Lorraine Barrett of Coldwell Banker added: “It`s a replica based on the royal palace of Louis XIV of the 17th Century,”
He said: “Without a doubt, this is the largest single family home built in America. And it`s in Windermere, Florida!”
The mansion boasts of 13 bedroom, 23 bathroom, a baseball field, two tennis courts, a pool, two elevators, two movie theaters, ten kitchens, a bowling alley, a video arcade and a 20-car garage.
Barrett added: “It`s a self-contained resort for a large family. There`s so much on this peninsula, that the new buyer will never have to leave the private property.”
However, the Siegels who own the Westgate Resorts plan to sell it.
Jacqueline said: “We don`t see anything in the economy picking up anytime soon. So we need to sell it, and keep the money in the company.
“It would be perfect for a sheik with a harem. I mean, there are plenty of bedrooms for all of his wives` children too! Or maybe I was thinking a rich Russian that likes to show off his money.”
