Washington: Lindsay Lohan was seen shopping at an electronics store in California when in actuality she should have been admitted herself into a rehab center.
Lindsay was at Fry`s Electronics in Fountain Valley, California at 9 am, the same time her lawyer, Mark Heller, told the judge that she was confined to Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, TMZ.com reported. According to the New York Post, the troubled actress apparently fooled an L.A Superior Court judge, a Santa Monica prosecutor and apparently her own lawyer, by pretending to check into a rehabilitation facility, but chickening out when she got there. The troubled actress was under court order to begin 90 days of lock-down rehab to settle charges that she lied to police after crashing into a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway last summer. The 26-year-old star was a panicked mess in her last hours of freedom, and missed three scheduled flights to Los Angeles before Heller was able to bundle her onto a private jet. According to sources, she spent several hours frantically packing and repacking over a dozen suitcases with clothing, and arrived at the airport with so much baggage that some of the bags just didn`t fit on the plane. It`s not clear if the judge will allow her to do her 90 days at Morningside, as its license has been revoked - it can no longer provide treatment - and is just a sober living facility. ANI
