Los Angeles: Pop dive Mariah Carey got emotional during her first of six holiday concerts.
The songstress took to the stage in a bejewelled red gown, where she sang her holiday hits including 'All I Want for Christmas' and 'Here Comes Santa Claus', reported Us magazine.
At one point, Carey, 44, unexpectedly lost a shoe but continued singing as she clutched her heel in one hand and a gold microphone in the other.
The most poignant moment from the show, entitled 'All I Want for Christmas Is You: A Night of Joy and Festivity', was when the mother of two sang her trademark 1993 ballad 'Hero'.
Carey powerfully delivered the hit, until tears started streaming from her face. She composed herself and said, ""Really? I'm sorry -- cut!"
