Marilyn Manson threatens to sue over false engagement report

Los Angeles: Rocker Marilyn Manson has threatened to sue an actress-filmmaker, who allegedly spread false rumours of their engagement.

Reports emerged last April suggesting `The Beautiful People` hitmaker had proposed to Seraphim Ward following a whirlwind romance, reported TMZ online. Her publicist confirmed the news, and Ward even took to her Twitter page to share a photo of a new ring, writing, "I am still speechless and in shock!" Manson`s representatives moved swiftly to shoot down talk of an impending wedding, and now the star has turned the matter over to his lawyers. In a letter to Ward, obtained, Manson`s legal team insists he has had "no romantic or other association" with Ward. His attorneys have also warned Ward that she will face legal action if she continues to talk publicly about their relationship. PTI
