Michelle Obama dances to Beyonce video as part of anti-obesity drive
London: It’s not every day that you see the U.S. First Lady getting her groove on, but Michelle Obama was in the mood for a victory dance on Tuesday.
The mother-of-two danced to Beyonce video during a surprise visit to the Alice Deal Middle School in Washington as part of her ‘Let’s move’ campaign to curb childhood obesity.
“Beyonce is one of my favourite performers on the planet. And when she agreed to remake her video and do this `Let`s Move` flash workout, I was so excited, because this is what we’ve been talking about - that exercise and moving can be fun,” the Telegraph quoted Michelle as saying.
“It’s about dancing, it’s about moving,” she added.
Michelle had not planned to dance so as ‘not to embarrass’ herself, but could not resist joining in.
The video, called ‘Let`s Move Flash Workout’, to Beyonce’s ‘Move Your Body’ song aims to get children moving to try to curb childhood obesity.
