Modeling, the new buzzword among northeast youth

Dimapur: With peace and normalcy gradually returning to the northeast, young boys and girls are looking forward to a better life and taking up modeling as a full time career.

Kajenkala from the Dimapur is one such example. She won the Miss Dimapur 2011 beauty contest and became the 21st beauty queen to wear the coveted.

“I am feeling so glad and honor right now. I really want to thank God because of him I am here tand most probably I am happy because I really want to do something for my state,” Kajenkala said.

She was also appointed a Ambassador for the state to generate awareness about dangers of tobacco products.

“Miss Dimapur has been held under the theme of Mission health. Our sponsor we did it in collaboration with National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). The contest and the entire event has been a successful one,” said Miranda, an organizer.

As peace and normalcy return to the region they bring in their wake –stability, development and progress. And this in turn helps in opening up new employment avenues for the youth.
