London: Iggy Azalea's short performance at the MTV Video Music Awards was criticised but the rapper says it proves she is still "relevant."

The 25-year-old "Go Hard Or Go Home" hitmaker appeared on stage at the event alongside pop star Demi Lovato but her 30-second stint was met with a barrage of criticism on Twitter, reported Female First.

"Its funny to see I was trending WW (worldwide), man. haters got SO MUCH to say. I was only on stage 30 seconds!

"Wait till my new... Drops, its 4 mins long! haha...." A fan tweeted her, saying, "I'm emotional Iggy the haters have been in my mentions for hours and all I've been trying to do is stop the hate. (sic)"

Azalea replied, "who cares it shows I'm very relevant in their lives still. I'm flattered. Hahaha (sic)".
