Los Angeles: British musician Noel Gallagher took a jibe at pop star Taylor Swift, saying he does not think anyone besides the artist's parents finds her talented.
Gallagher, 47, also slammed the lyrics of today's pop music, reported Rolling Stone.
"It's awful. Modern pop music is bland nonsense. There isn't even a word yet that's capable of describing it," he said.
When the interviewer Vozick-Levinson asked him about the 'Style' hitmaker, saying, "What about Taylor Swift? She's a pop star, but many people praise her talent as a songwriter."
"Who says that? Her parents?" Gallagher said. When told that 'lots of people' have commended Swift's knack for infectious tunes, the 'In the Heat of the Moment' rocker replied, "Name these people. You're lying. She seems like a nice girl, but no one has ever said those words, and you know it."
