Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has splashed a heavy sum in purchasing a home for her long lost half-sister Patricia Lofton.

Los Angeles: Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has reportedly splashed a heavy sum in purchasing a home for her long lost half-sister Patricia Lofton. The 60-year-old chat show queen reportedly spent almost half a million dollars on the four-bedroom, three-bathroom pad house situated in Wisconsin in the US.
Winfrey reportedly has also given her a monthly allowance so that she can focus on her career, reported E!Online. "Patricia`s greatest dream was to go to college and become a social worker. Oprah wants to support that dream," a spokesperson for Oprah said. Winfrey and Patricia were introduced publicly back in 2011 on the hit daytime talk show. They both share the same mother, Vernita Lee, but Patricia was sent to live in foster homes until she was adopted at the age of seven.
