Poonam Pandey’s ‘offensive’ ‘Nasha’ posters anger political party!

New Delhi: Poonam Pandey has been making headlines ever since claimed to parade nude to celebrate Indian Cricket team’s World Cup win in 2011. And it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Pandey is controversy’s favourite child. And this time the model-turned-actress is in news as posters of her debut film ‘Nasha’ have drawn flak from a political party. According to a daily, Shiv Sena has not only criticised vulgarity depicted in ‘Nasha’, but has also taken down her posters in Lower Parel and Borivali. Reportedly, many people across the city of Mumbai are miffed with Poonam and have set the posters on fire. "We find the poster highly vulgar and derogatory and won`t allow such hoardings. We are trying to pull down hoardings all across the city," Akshay Bardapurkar, the general secretary of Shiv Sena Chitrapat Sena said. Reacting to the situation, the film’s producer Aditya Bhatia, says, "My outdoor publicist called up to say that Shiv Sainiks had made him pull down the hoarding. They found Poonam`s posture objectionable. But my publicity stills have been approved by the Western India Film Producers` Association. So, I am not going to pull the other hoardings down. I am even thinking of filing a complaint." "I am a responsible citizen. If I think the posters are objectionable, I would pull them down myself. Maybe I will keep them away from children`s view," he added.
