London: Prince Harry`s new lover Cressida Bonas is all set to get royal protection as the couple`s romance heats up.
According to security aides, Bonas could be guarded by taxpayer-funded protection officers at high-profile events.
Top-level security talks have already been held at 10 Downing Street after a number of recent threats were made against Harry.
A Whitehall source told the Daily Star that the fear factor has gone up now as Harry is back in England and is going out and about.
The source said that the Army officer is at greater risk now than when he was on the frontline as he is in public more, and the security services have already uncovered several plots to target him.
The insider explained that Harry is more exposed in Britain as he goes out to bars and clubs and since Cressida is close to him, they have to deal with that.
The threat against the Apache helicopter pilot was lifted from "substantial" to "severe" after he admitted killing Taliban fighters during his Afghanistan tour, which ended in January.
The source added that according to the analysis, Harry is at greater risk in England than ever and so anyone with him is also under threat.
