Los Angeles: Actress Olivia Munn has credited her inspiration from a familiar '80s TV character Punky Brewster for being her entrance into Hollywood.
Munn, 34, said at the time, she didn't even know about it, reported Us magazine. "I've always wanted to be an actress since I was a little girl, since I was watching Punky Brewster. When I found out she was an actress, that's what I wanted to do," she said.
'Punky Brewster' was an American sitcom about a girl playing the titular role. And with nothing more than hope and a handy guide to launching an acting career, Munn, said she set out on a long journey to make her dreams come true.
"I packed up and drove myself out from Oklahoma to California. I had one book ? it was called An Actor's Guide to Moving to Hollywood," she said. 'The Newsroom' actress is excited about her new endeavour of being an author.
"I wanted to write a collection of short stories about my life. I wrote it in a way that if my 13-year-old self could write a letter to me now, and I correspond back to her," she added.
