Los Angeles: Actress Rosario Dawson has joined `Marvel`s Daredevil`, a new 13-episode series which will premiere in 2015.
Dawson is known for her roles in `Cesar Chavez`, `Kids` and the upcoming `Sin City: A Dame To Kill For`.
The story revolves around the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy. Imbued with extraordinary senses, he now fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell`s Kitchen, New York City.
In the series, Dawson will play a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell`s Kitchen brings Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of the city.
Charlie Cox is playing Murdock while Vincent D`Onofrio will star as Wilson Fisk in the series.
"Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for `Marvel`s Daredevil`," said Jeph Loeb, Marvel`s head of television on its official website.
"Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock`s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil."
