Royal baby: Prince William ''secretly'' wanted a girl since Prince George's birth

Washington: Prince William, who has been blessed with a baby girl with wife Kate Middleton, secretly wanted a girl since Prince George`s birth, it has been reported.

Us Magazine`s European Bureau Chief Omid Scobie got an inside look at Middleton and William`s newly expanded family of four with the help of royal expert Katie Nicholl.

Nicholl told the publication that the Duke of Cambridge always wanted a girl since Prince George`s birth and it was wonderful that now they have one of each.

Nicholl said that this will be the first princess for Cambridge for about 180 years and there was a real historical significance to this baby.

Prince William and Middleton welcomed their first daughter into the world in Paddington, London at St. Mary`s Hospital on 2nd May.
