Sarah Stage welcomes baby boy

Los Angeles: Model Sarah Stage has given birth to a baby boy. The Los Angeles-based model, who ignited pros and cons regarding her super fit pregnancy body, gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Wednesday.

Her representative confirmed the birth was natural, and both mother and baby are doing well, reported E! online. Sarah named her newborn baby James Hunter.

"Yes!! Thank you! All of that is indeed true :) he's a big healthy boy and he got an APGAR score of 8-9. Thank you for supporting me throughout my pregnancy!" the 30-year-old beauty said.

Sarah first gained attention when she posted an Instagram selfie last month that showed off her slim body based on which people in common could barely tell she was 8.5 months pregnant. Since then, she has been at the center of heavy media criticism and debate over her lean physique.

Despite all the health concerns surrounding her toned baby bump, Sarah defended her pregnant body, claiming, "The doctor said my baby is healthy. All my girlfriends that are pregnant now, their bellies are a lot bigger, so I asked him and he started laughing. He was like, 'You're fine.'"

She, moreover, responded to critics during an appearance on "Good Morning America", insisting, "As long as the baby is healthy, I don't think anything else matters. That should be the most important thing."
