Save country`s heritage sites, appeals Akshay Kumar

Mumbai: Actor Akshay Kumar, who is in Hyderabad to promote his forthcoming film `Boss`, visited famous heritage site Charminar. He has appealed to the countrymen to save the rich cultural heritage of the nation.

After looking at the graffiti-filled walls of the monument, the actor appealed to people to save heritage sites from such destruction, said a source close to the `Khiladi` star.

He urged people to talk to each other through SMS, calls or letters and to avoid writing on the walls. He believes it is everyone`s duty to preserve these monuments.

`Boss`, directed by Anthony D`souza, also stars Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari, Danny Denzongpa, Ronit Roy and Johnny Lever. It is releasing Oct 16.
