Washington: The 'Star Wars' creator George Lucas has revealed that he really has no interest in science fiction at all.

The 70-year-old director said that a lot of present day movies are circus movies, suggesting that modern Hollywood has now gotten to be more and more circus than substance, Deadline.com reported.

Lucas, who sold his company and franchise to Disney in 2012 for over 4 billion dollars, added that he gets blamed for a lot of that, but ' Star Wars' has a lot more substance than circus.

He added that the mindset of the industry is "Let's see how much blood comes out when he splats."
